About Charlotte Maris

Charlotte Maris is a personal trainer and strength coach based in Amsterdam, known for a calm, structured, and thoughtful approach to strength training. Her work is built around clarity, progression, and long-term sustainability — helping people not just train harder, but train smarter.
Before entering the world of strength and coaching, Charlotte studied at the University of Amsterdam and worked in a corporate office environment. She understands first-hand what it means to balance ambition, pressure, performance, and health. Early in her career, she became an entrepreneur, selling a food delivery company and founding her first gym — experiences that shaped her practical, no-nonsense approach to building both bodies and businesses.
Strength training became the constant thread. As an athlete, Charlotte competed internationally at a high level for many years, achieving podium finishes at major competitions and becoming a two-time Dutch National Champion in Olympic Weightlifting (-63 kg). She also represented the Netherlands at international CrossFit competitions and competed at elite endurance events, including a top-four finish at Ironman Barcelona in 2022. These years of high-level competition taught her not only how to push limits, but also how essential structure, recovery, and intelligent programming are for longevity.
Today, Charlotte channels that experience into coaching. She is the founder of Kracht Amsterdam, a strength-focused gym built around quality coaching and community. Beyond the gym floor, she leads Kracht Health, delivering corporate health and vitality coaching, and founded Stichting Kracht Foundation, a non-profit focused on social impact through movement. One of its key initiatives, SilverFox, is dedicated to improving strength, independence, and quality of life for older adults.
Charlotte has taught seminars and workshops around the world and works with a diverse range of clients — from independent adults who want to train well, to CEOs, creatives, and actors who value efficiency, discretion, and sustainable performance. Regardless of background, her coaching philosophy remains the same: clear structure, individual attention, and respect for the long game.
Her work is not about extremes, quick fixes, or constant intensity. It is about building strength that supports life — physically, mentally, and professionally — over time.
